The Railburn Affair

A few weeks ago Nick and I attended a murder mystery party. It was by far the funnest night I have ever had, and although I can't speak for everyone I think they all agree. Everyone was assigned a character to play and given clues before and during the party to solve the mystery of who killed Lawerence Railburn.

Canvassed in the Majestic Rocky Mountains, the Stanford Alpine Hotel basks in the graciousness of a by-gone era. It is 1936, and a well known railroad baron is found dead on the premises. The guests of the Hotel, the fashionable elite of the early 20th Century, are now all suspects.

(Me) Lolita spends most of her nights at the hotel bar. While she is not a member of the hotel, her hospitality services are highly regarded by the guests and staff alike.

(Nick) Josh Railburn A struggling artist with a flamboyant style. Josh is the only child of Lawerence and Sylvia Railburn. Josh has had few interactions with the family since a falling out during the previous year.

(Thanks Erika and Eric for the funnest night and weekend EVER!!!!!)

I've only experienced one of these murder mystery party games a few times but I agree they are a blast! When you can do it with a few friends that you know really well it almost seems the laughter will never end. Besides, who doesn't like a good mystery :)
