Advanced Gymnastics

For the last year and a half Ella has been taking classes at the Little Gym. We originally had her in the Ballet and Tap class with some tumbling time at the end of class. We noticed right away that she wasn't interested in dance the way she was in gymnastics. We made it through the semester, but decided next time around we would just put her in a gymnastics class. We saw immediate improvement, she listened and followed direction well. Tonight at the end of class her teacher approached us and said she would like Ella to be in the advanced gymnastics class. We're so proud, its a class you have to be invited to.

WAY TO GO SMELLY BELLY, WE LOVE YOU!

The Railburn Affair

A few weeks ago Nick and I attended a murder mystery party. It was by far the funnest night I have ever had, and although I can't speak for everyone I think they all agree. Everyone was assigned a character to play and given clues before and during the party to solve the mystery of who killed Lawerence Railburn.

Canvassed in the Majestic Rocky Mountains, the Stanford Alpine Hotel basks in the graciousness of a by-gone era. It is 1936, and a well known railroad baron is found dead on the premises. The guests of the Hotel, the fashionable elite of the early 20th Century, are now all suspects.

(Me) Lolita spends most of her nights at the hotel bar. While she is not a member of the hotel, her hospitality services are highly regarded by the guests and staff alike.

(Nick) Josh Railburn A struggling artist with a flamboyant style. Josh is the only child of Lawerence and Sylvia Railburn. Josh has had few interactions with the family since a falling out during the previous year.

(Thanks Erika and Eric for the funnest night and weekend EVER!!!!!)

Prayer.

My sister in law Audrey recently got me completely addicted to reading nieniedialogues. A blog about Stephanie Nielson's joys of being a mother and wife. She's really an amazing mother and so inspirational. Unfortuntely she was in a very bad plane crash with her husband in August, and about 83% of her body was burned. So I'm sure if you read her blog you'll understand why I'm praying for her and her family.

Also check out her sisters blog, she's the one reposting old blogs on nie nie dalogues. http://blog.cjanerun.com/

If you want to see updates about Nie Nie or her Husband: http://alicedewitt.blogspot.com/

Love your family always!!!!!!!

I'm the proud parent of the next gold winning................ Synchronized swimmer.

Summertime wrap up!

1. We started our summer with a trip to Disneyland with Nick's brother Kevin, our sister in law Karie and nephew Dylan. My best friend Mackenzie who recently moved to California to start working on getting her Master's Degree was able to spend a day with us at the park. So although I could have done without the 12 hour drive with a three and four year old, and a cramped hotel room, Disneyland truly is the happiest place on Earth. (until you get home and balance your check book)

2. Nick and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary. ( yes, we lived in sin for four years before getting married. And we liked it that way! )

3. Nick started and ended a awesome marketing internship with CBiz. ( he always looked so handsome and professional going to work )

4. I started a new job with CompHealth, and get to see one of my best friends everyday. ( love ya Lacee)

5. Visited my mom, dad, and brother in Maryland. I have a whole new appreciation for Utah after being in such a fast paced city.

6. Ella learned to swim.

Through My Daughters Eyes

Ella taking pictures of herself

Random people at the airport

Ella just got her very first digital camera! I thought the pictures she took were so funny and random that I wanted to post them for everyone to see. I give the Fisher Price camera two thumbs up. Its durable and easy for kids to use. Ella can't get enough of it. Ella was busy on our flight home taking picutres of the clouds, other passengers, tray tables, and all the other amazing things on the airplane that she never once complained. I even got to read Breaking Dawn, which also get two thumbs up from me.

A pirates life for me.

One of the fun things we did while visiting my parents in Maryland was going to Anapolis. We took Ella on a pirate cruise, she learned pirate songs, searched for gold, and battled with other pirates.
Nick and I even got to enjoy ourselves while sailing around Anapolis. We saw the most outrageous yachts. The cost of one of the yachts we saw was only about 20 million dollars. So if I I save every single penny for the next oh I don't know 100 years, I could probably have one of those one day!

Greetings from D.C.

Our vacation to D.C. is nearly over. We’ll be flying home on Thursday after saying good bye to my dad who will be leaving for Iraq. My parents moved to the area about two years ago, and this is my first visit out to see them. I feel like I’ve done just about everything I wanted to do. We went to Anapolis, Baltimore, Arlington National Cemetery, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Spy Museum, and we even had our very own private tour of the White House. If your wondering how we were able to get a private tour of the White House my mom knows someone that knows someone that works as a first council attorney to the president. If you are ever headed to D.C. and would like a private tour let me know and I'll you give Rachel's email information. She loves giving the tours and feels like she's best serving the country when she serves the general public.

I don't think anyone could ever leave D.C. and not feel more patriotic after seeing such amazing American landmarks.

There’s always a first for everything.

Well I’ve finally created a blog! I’ve wanted to create a blog for awhile now, but I just haven’t found the time until now. I’m sure my blog will be very similar to everyone else, pictures of the family, stories, updates, and anything else I find interesting.
